Set the scene: Mulder in a suit and tie, Scully in a suit as well with a dark gray trenchcoat, walking down the dirty streets of L.A.
Scully: What are we exactly investgating here Mulder?
Mulder: Seems that a cult had influence over a young man killing 8 women. None of them had anything in common, that's the strange part.
Scully: So he didn't know them, he just chose at random?
Mulder: During questioning the man claimed they represented the 8 dynamics of life. See, he is a scientologist. He claimed that it was part of a scientilogical ritual called 'auditing'. Each of the victims had been hooked up to some kind of machine that had a extremely high voltage. Typically, these contraptions are set very low.
Scully: Wait, they electrocute themselves?
Mulder: Not necessarily, it's just a 'gentle current' according to the church of scientology.
They claim it makes their synapses fire quickly and improves memory.
Scully: So if they already have a murderer, then why are we here? This doesn't have anything to do about the supposed extraterrestrial beings that are inhabiting human form to await a station of full understanding? Because that whole aspect is really weak. They said that a human being can't really harness the 'thetans' full potiental.
Mulder: It's said to have full understanding. To know the truth. According to scientology doctrine, 75 million years ago, the galactic ruler Xenu called billions of life forms together and poisoned them to harvest their souls. The onees who were kidnapped were then transported to the planet Teegeeack where they were placed at the base of a volcano. Xenu was said to have taken hydrogen bombs and place them into the volcano, killing the souls. The souls that hadn't gotten blown to smithereens were then turned into thetans. What scientologists are trying to become more like.
Scully: Wackos that believe that the hydrogen bomb wasn't invented in 1951.
Mulder: Maybe that is a bit too out there. Even for me.
Scully: Did the man confess to all the murders? Does all the evidence prove that it was him?
Mulder: Yes [paus] Want to go catch a Lakers game?
Scully: That seems like a more worth while investigation.
